AH, FILIPOV?

Why me? Why you? Why us for that matter?
I write ever since I was a toddler, always paying around in my head with banal, romantic, and sometimes humorous stories. When I was young, I created characters from my friends, and from my friends: characters. I am not quite certain if that is very imaginative. But does anyone really know what happens in theirs, yours, or whoever's head. I just know that the line between imagination and insanity is very fine, which is why I love walking over it.

Welcome to Bulgaria (2021)
October 27, 2021
In 2018, I got obsessed with Billy Joel's We Didn't Start the Fire. In two to three days, I had broken day the text into syllables and drafted a Bulgarian parody version. Three years, I got to hear my draft because we recorded in Georgi Rangelov's improvised studio. Interestingly, we changed only one rhyme. Apparently things don't change much in Bulgaria.
I wanted someone to make the video for us, but that costs money and willingness. That is why I made the typography myself.
Watch here for the big reveal.
Biohazard (2019)
April 17, 2021
In 2019, I took part in a screenwriting course, organized by Nu Boyana Film Studios. We studied under the expert eye of Simeon Ventsislavov. My short film screenplay was chosen for filming and was released on November 29, 2019. It's not too bad, if I do say so myself. It is evident, that the incredible acting of Liza Mircheva, countered by the performance of Dimitar Kabasov, turns the movie into something absurdist. Not quite what I had in mind, but it is what it is.
You can find the film in English in the Tube, and my comment: here.
THE NEW LUCIAD
August 12, 2018
In 2018, I was in a very low place. Gradually, things started turning around and emotions were high. Sadly, my Neuroscience PhD studies in Leicester didn't end with a diploma, with my withdrawal being a big part of it. I paused my studies due to health issues, and tried to restart but ultimately left the city of The Foxes. I did leave one thing there: a poem, a calligram on the cover of the University of Leicester's anthology.
